High Performance Distributed Simulation for Interactive Simulated Vascular Reconstruction
نویسندگان
چکیده
Interactive distributed simulation environments consist of interconnected communicating components. The performance of such a system is determined by the execution time of the executing components and the amount of data that is exchanged between components. We describe an interactive distributed simulation system in the scope of a medical test case (simulated vascular reconstruction) and present a number of techniques to improve performance.

Problem Solving Environment for Distributed Interactive Applications
Interactive Problem Solving Environments (PSEs) offer an integrated approach for constructing and running complex systems, such as distributed simulation systems. To achieve efficient execution of High Level Architecture (HLA)-based distributed interactive simulations on the Grid, we introduce a PSE called Grid HLA Management System (G-HLAM) for their management. This is done by introducing mig...
متن کاملAnalysis and Design of High Gain, and Low Power CMOS Distributed Amplifier Utilizing a Novel Gain-cell Based on Combining Inductively Peaking and Regulated Cascode Concepts
In this study an ultra-broad band, low-power, and high-gain CMOS Distributed Amplifier (CMOS-DA) utilizing a new gain-cell based on the inductively peaking cascaded structure is presented. It is created bycascading of inductively coupled common-source (CS) stage and Regulated Cascode Configuration (RGC).The proposed three-stage DA is simulated in 0.13 μm CMOS process. It achieves flat and high ...
متن کاملEvaluation of the performance of parallel-hole collimator for high resolution small animal SPECT: A Monte Carlo study
Introduction: Image quality and accuracy of in vivo activity quantification in SPECT are affected by collimator penetration and scatter components, especially in high energy imaging. These phenomena highly depend on the collimator characteristic and photon energy. The presence of penetrated and scattered photons from collimator in SPECT images degrades spatial resolution, contr...
متن کاملImpacts of the Negative-exponential and the K-distribution modeled FSO turbulent links on the theoretical and simulated performance of the distributed diffusion networks
Merging the adaptive networks with the free space optical (FSO) communication technology is a very interesting field of research because by adding the benefits of this technology, the adaptive networks become more efficient, cheap and secure. This is due to the fact that FSO communication uses unregistered visible light bandwidth instead of the overused radio spectrum. However, in spite of all ...
متن کاملGrid-based Interactive Visualisation of Medical Images
The paper addresses the development and use of Grid middleware and the use of distributed resources for interactive visualisation of simulated data within a dedicated problemsolving environment. We developed an agent-oriented architecture, the Interactive Simulation System Conductor (ISS), for the design of interactive experiments. The Vascular Radiology Explorer is a case study for these exper...
